The early part of my career was focused on sustainable urban design working at notable global firms such as Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP and Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture. Projects below range from a new city in the Middle East to a naturally ventilating interior urban neighborhood, to re-greening the Beijing CBD to re-imagining the St.Louis Gateway Arch Monument Park with Bjarke Ingles Group.
Throughout all of this work, I developed dedication to sustainable system integration and humanistic, nature based city design, balancing pragmatism with a poetic flexibility to create fluid, meaningful cultural and civic experiences for residents.
“I learned the vocabulary of the sustainable city, like a conductor to an orchestra weaving complex, multi-sector solutions together… And this vocabulary, flexibility and synthesis I now apply to my advisory praxis and to the way I problem solve as a design strategist.”
