I was engaged by Lyft while at Studios Architecture to create two future visions for their Driverless Electric Vehicle division: one depicting an urban service hub they could build in the near future; and a second imagining a much greater scale hub capable of serving thousands of driverless cars per day.
The stacked EV hub of the future is intended to enable reduction of private cars and parking facilities in crowded cities, becoming a multimodal station supporting regional connectivity AND increased downtown pedestrianization.
“The Lyft Future EV Hub is the Guggenheim of cars with a green mission.”
